We are delighted to have been awarded membership of Logistics Skills Network, the first UK association to represent the interests of training providers in logistics and passenger transport.
Logistics Skills Network was launched in September 2020 to represent and promote the collective interests of specialist training providers to Government, regulators, the wider logistics and passenger transport sectors, and to those working in the sector. It has a strong working relationship with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and the Department for Transport (DfT).
Membership enables us to retain our sector expertise while remaining fully up-to-date with industry news and affairs. It also ensures that our sector has professional representation at a national level. The focus on collaborative working means that we benefit from sharing best practice with other experienced training providers, and our apprentice LGV drivers also benefit from the expert resources we are able to access.
Nikki Bardsley, Director of Apprenticeship Operations at Seetec Outsource, said:
“Logistics Skills Network will play an important role in supporting the regulatory authorities to meet the labour-force needs of the logistics and passenger transport sector, while improving career opportunities and raising the career aspirations of those working in the sector.
“At a time when the logistics industry is facing significant skills shortages, it’s more important than ever for specialist training providers to come together to promote the value and importance of logistics skills training to the UK economy.”
