Seetec Outsource is partnering with Greater Manchester Combined Authority to provide a specialist programme focused on upskilling people within logistics organisations, funded entirely through the European Social Fund. There are a variety of courses available at level 3 or equivalent that are relevant to logistics operations. All the courses can be entirely tailored around existing work commitments. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the traffic office
  • Supervising the receipt, storage or dispatch of goods
  • Applying technology in logistics operations
  • Organising documentation for the transportation of goods
  • Arranging the transportation of goods using multiple modes of transport
  • Building and managing teams in logistics operations
  • Providing leadership for your team in logistics operations
  • Responding to problems in logistics operations
  • Scheduling logistics operations to meet customer requirements
  • Taking responsibility for health, safety and security in your team
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements in logistics operations
  • Minimising the environmental impact of logistics operations

The fully funded training is available to individuals who are:

  • Aged 16+
  • A resident of Greater Manchester OR working for a business based in Greater Manchester
  • Employed within the logistics sector (or in a logistics-related role in another sector)

Skills for Growth is funded through the European Social Fund and aims to plug the skills gaps in priority sectors across Greater Manchester as outlined in the Combined Authority’s Local Industrial Strategy.
