GEODIS provides transportation services to the Pharmaceutical Industry and has a WDA (Wholesale Distribution Authorisation) licence within the guidelines of the EU GDP Guidelines of 5 November 2013 (2013/C 343/01).

As your role is an integral part of the handling of Pharmaceuticals within GEODIS, it is a requirement of GDP to clearly define your responsibilities and interrelationships of all personnel within GEODIS.

Key Activities / Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance of the GDP Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensure document control is applied and superseded versions of the GDP QMS are not in use
  • Assist in the recording of CAPA and Deviations
  • Assist in Ensuring all CAPA and Deviations are verified and closed within a reasonable time period
  • Assist in haulier audits
  • Assist in Analysing quality related trends, such as temperature, damages etc
  • Assist in keeping training records up to date
  • Assist and participate in internal & external audits
  • Ensure the quality of GDP related data
  • Assist in completing Route Risk Assessments and carrier qualification
  • Assist in the validation of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Perform self-Inspections and report the findings to the GDP Responsible Person
  • Ensure the legality of the supply chain by qualifying customers as authorised to distribute pharmaceuticals
  • Maintain the documentation on the ‘NECE GDP Community SharePoint’ and the ‘GDP UK SharePoint’
  • To carry out all department activities in accordance with industry best practice, standard operating procedures, regulatory compliance and H & S
  • To ensure that all documentation processed physically and electronically is issued within company policy guidelines
  • To have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • To ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved department procedures and deadlines
  • Responsible and Accountable to ensure company property is always looked after and used correctly and safely
  • To drive continual improvement in department policies and procedures and challenge status quo
  • To ensure that instructions from your line manager/supervisor are always carried out effectively and efficiently in the interest of the business
  • To have excellent communication skills to people at all levels both inside and outside of the business unit
  • Show a willingness to undertake additional roles to meet the needs of your department and colleagues

Desired skills

Necessary Technical / Functional Skills:
•Medium-High level of skill and knowledge on MS – preferred
