Multiply is a new government-funded programme that helps adults improve their numeracy skills.

Through Multiply, we want to boost people’s confidence and ability to use maths and numbers effectively in daily life, at home and work.

Good numeracy skills can unlock job opportunities or prepare you for further study. They also help in everyday life, such as helping children with homework and budgeting money.

Multiply is FREE to anyone aged 19+ without a GCSE at Grade C (or equivalent).

Multiply – what will I learn?

We’re offering short, free courses to help people navigate the cost of living, manage their household budget, support their children and understand their maths homework, alongside a variety of online and face to face everyday maths options.

There are courses for beginners to more advanced courses such as GCSE Maths, Functional Skills qualifications, or equivalent. With such a variety of learning set-ups and content, learners will be able to learn at a pace that suits them.

Employed residents can access support too

Multiply can also help employers to upskill their existing workforce giving employees wider opportunities for promotion. We can also support employers to upskill potential applicants for their jobs.

Through Multiply we want to give people the skills, motivation, and confidence to enable them to join a formal qualification to open doors to new jobs, career progression and/or further study.

Check your numeracy level

You can take a short quiz to understand areas of numeracy you might want to improve.

The questions have no pass/fail mark and are multiple choice. You can visit the website below to take the quiz – it should take around 5 minutes to complete.
