We offer a complimentary apprenticeship recruitment service to help you attract the right talent for your business. We’ll take you through the following steps in our recruitment process:

Step 1

Consultation and Qualification

We’ll consult with you to identify your recruitment needs and allocate a designated recruitment specialist. We’ll give you all the advice you need to help your job descriptions become attractive apprenticeship adverts. All available recruitment services will be discussed and agreed at this stage.

Step 2

Advertising

Your apprenticeship vacancy will be advertised on the government ‘Find an Apprenticeship’ site, as well as on your own websites, communication forums and social media channels. We may occasionally look at alternative job platforms as an enhanced service if necessary.

Step 3

Promotion

We’ll promote your vacancy to our candidate database, local schools, colleges, JCP champions, BAME groups and charities. We’ll support you in your social media and internal promotions through joint outreach activities, including via our own social media platforms.

Step 4

Screening

We screen every application on the Recruit an Apprentice gov.uk site using the pre-agreed screening criteria set. We check candidates are eligible and have the qualifications required, and assess any pre-existing skills, knowledge and behaviours. We then screen the written communication element of the application. Telephone screening may be an additional service used to assess verbal communication where this is essential for the role. All suitable candidates will be sent to you for review.

Step 5

Shortlisting

The recruitment team will arrange, diarise, send communications and confirmations for all your 1-2-1 interviews with the selected applicants. We’ll guide you through all eligibility and Right To Work (RTW) compliance checks. For larger cohorts, we’ll facilitate or help you design and implement group assessment centres.

Step 6

Decisions and Feedback

We’ll liaise with you on your decisions for making offers, compliance checks and next steps for your chosen apprentices. Based on your interview or assessment day feedback, we’ll provide information and advice to unsuccessful candidates to enhance their individual development.

Step 7

Enrolment and Start

A member of the Learner Experience Team will liaise directly with you and the apprentice to arrange the official apprenticeship sign up and induction.
