Programme overview:
As an aviation ground specialist you will supervise the safe arrival, turnaround and departure of aircraft at airports, military bases, heliports and other airfields.
Working in a specialist role this programme will help you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to complete complex aviation tasks and may include supervision of others to ensure a safe, secure and effective aviation operation.

Key learning outcomes:
- Ability to monitor area of responsibility to ensure compliance with aviation legislation and organisational procedures, reporting and/or addressing hazards
- Operating aviation systems used within own role, identifying faults or errors and knowing what remedial action to take
- Taking appropriate action to reduce the impact of emergencies, incidents or disruption
- Dealing effectively with dangerous goods within own area of responsibility
- Maximising team performance to meet objectives while embracing equality and inclusivity
- Additional knowledge and skills relating to one of five specialist functions: aircraft handling, aircraft movement, firefighting, flight operations or passenger operations
