Blue Light Development Academy
Through Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s Skills for Growth initiative, we provide fully funded skills and well-being training to help your employees gain new skills and qualifications, manage their mental health, and improve their overall confidence and welfare at work.
Working in partnership with North West Ambulance Service, we have co-developed a range of courses that are personalised to meet the development needs, responsibilities, and aspirations of your workforce.
All training is flexible and available in manageable bite-size learning to work around the demands of their roles.
Courses are available in:
- British Sign Language
- Presentation skills
- Understanding Health in the Workplace for Managers
- ‘Beat the Burnout’ resilience and well-being
- Academic and study skills
- Ambassador training
- Bespoke leadership and management
- Inclusivity and diversity awareness
- Digital skills
Funded training is available to individuals who are:
- Employees (including support and front-line staff) of emergency service organisations which include ambulance, fire, police, and prison services.
- Must live and work in Greater Manchester, or work for an employer whose trading status is in Greater Manchester.
All our courses are created with inclusivity in mind, and we are particularly keen to support women, people from a BAME background, people over 50 years old, people with disabilities, and people from a single adult household with dependents.
