On Thursday the 9th of March, Seetec Outsource will be hosting an event with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce titled: “The Future of Logistics: Building Skills to Boost the Industry.”

The purpose of the event is to bring together firms working in the transport and logistics sector to understand and debate the significance of the sector to Greater Manchester, including the value of upskilling and improving your current workforce. It will be held in the White Room at Elliot House in Manchester City Centre from 10am to 12pm.

The guest speakers at the event include Clare Bottle, Chief Executive of the UKWA and Vice Chair of Women in Logistics, who will be talking about her journey in the logistics industry and then chairing a discussion on the current opportunities within warehousing. Clare will be joined by Carl Hobbis, Executive Director at the British International Freight Association (BIFA) who will deliver a presentation on the status of the Freight industry and its opportunities for future growth and development.

Jake Croxton, Key Account Manager for Transport and Logistics at Seetec Outsource, will also be delivering a presentation on the varied training opportunities offered by the organisation, from short courses through to apprenticeship programmes, including the GMCA Skills for Growth Transport and Logistics Training Programme, available specifically to Greater Manchester businesses and employees.
